First, I need to apologize for not providing/updating the content on the website or kicking off any sort of guerilla marketing to promote the website. Unfortunately, I have had a difficult job balancing my regular job (software engineering) responsibilities and my non-work activities over the last 12 months. However, going forward I plan on spending more time throughout the coming weeks posting additional blog content and maybe developing some additional farmer/herd websites to link into the website. So if you are considering a website then let me know.
One of the reasons that I launched the fancycows.com website was to have a platform in North America that allowed breeders and commercial organizations within the dairy industry to promote their herds or products. I am not sure how many of you recall or participated in the HolsteinOnline.com website that was active several years ago but I always thought it was a very useful website. Anyhow, I hope to provide a site that will generate the same sort of enthusiam and banter that existed on the HolsteinOnline.com website.
Hopefully over the next couple of days I'll be able to upload some photos from some of my recent trips to Luck-E Holsteins & Holbric Holsteins located in Illinois. Plus, I have some recent pics of the 2007 Grand Champion at the New York State Fair... Rubens Layla. She is looking pretty sweet!
Just some rambling thoughts... If you have any ideas of things that you would like to see on the site then give me a shout.
Regards for now,
